Yo, Philly in the News
- Fuck SEPTA. Actually,
strike thatwe take that back. Fuck Local 234. - Iceman Cliff Lee didn't have his lights-out stuff last night, but it was good enough as the Cardiac Kids v. 2.0 forced the World Series to a Game 6 with an 8-6 win. It'll be Pedro vs. Horseface on Wednesday.
- Today is Election Day, which means—thankfully—an all-too-brief respite from the campaign ads for ten months after today. But do your civic duty, educate yourself, and go out and vote today.
- The man who shot himself in the head at The Fire in Northern Liberties early Sunday morning is on life support.
- Two people have pleaded guilty to acting as accomplices in a planned murder-for-hire. Their "boss" (i.e., the guy who ordered the murder) is one Mahn Huu "Bruce" Doan, who is already under indictment for a mortgage fraud scam.
- Today's AccuWeather forecast: 60 and sunny today. Cool and clear tonight; good weather for shooting stuff. (Note: "Stuff" does not mean other people.)
